Although the deeper meaning of the park is to connect with grieving families, it remains a wonderful place for children to practice the art of natural play. After all, the play is in the child not the equipment. Our Teddy Bear Picnic is a special day for families to come to the park to share a picnic and play. Children can climb on the waterfalls and use their imaginations to discover new and exciting things around them. We welcome children to fully embrace the gifts of nature and play!
This year, the picnic will be Saturday, April 17, 11 AM – 2 PM. Bring your family and a picnic blanket. Food trucks will be available as an option for lunch. Children are invited to bring their favorite teddy bear.
In addition to the natural ways for children to play in the park, stations will be set up with games and other fun things to do together as a family and one of our favorite story tellers will be joining us.
We welcome you and your family to join us for a fun day of spending intentional time together!
